About me

My name is Adam Nekolny I am an Aerospace Engineering graduate student at the University of Arizona. I come from Czech Republic, but moved for my undergraduate and graduate studies into USA. Since I remember I was fascinated by science and spacecraft which lead me to not only pursue Aerospace Engineering but also my passion in astrodynamics, spacecraft systems and autonomous controls which are focuses of my research.

As described above my name is Adam Nekolny, I am a Master of Science student in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Arizona. Throughout my undergraduate studies I found passion and fascination for engineering and mathematics, this was mainly due to me always loving technology especially one focused on space flight. Going from Czech Republic for this passion was not easy but I learned to adapt fast and learn quickly to love any environment.

During my Bachelor studies I have engaged in research focusing on spacecraft mission development for Interstellar objects, such as was ' Oumuamua and Borisov, as well as develop and discuss possible spacecraft systems aimed at their exploration. Furthermore besides developing astrodynamics simulations I engaged in professional and leadership activities, through Engineering Student Council, AIAA and the Engineering Honors society, which challenged me to think out of the box and make decisions benefiting the team. Transferring into the Master studies I discovered further interest in autonomous technologies for flight and swarm formation, which is now my main driving theme for thesis. Outside of studies and work, I love learning about machine learning and LLM technologies and how they can be applied to spaceflight. Furthermore I enjoy working with computer server equipment, setting up remote control, virtualized operating systems, remotely accessible storage solution and applications, and remote code execution.

Overall I strive towards my passion in dynamics and controls specialization, with love to learn more and engage in new an challenging projects. I hope that you will look through the site, finding things interesting or educational, and if interested reach out, I am looking forward to work with you or discuss anything technical interested.
